Breakfast cereal

The best breakfast cereal in the world for me is Pronutro.
And of course it has to be the Chocolate flavour.

Produced in South Africa by Bokomo.

In my childhood, I could be swayed to Coco Pops or tempted by small variety multipacks.
But none of them were quite as filling as Pronutro.

I remember the way it would absorb all the milk that you could throw at it and more.
Sitting down for breakfast, rereading comic books or annuals for the hundredth time while eating Pronutro was idyllic.

These days, I occasionally buy a box as a treat.
The mix is now half milk and half water, with no sugar. Plus sensible portion sizes.

Well, no sugar except for the photo.

To be completely honest, I am sure that the flavour has changed over the years. But maybe it is just my palate.

It tastes better than it looks.

Nostalgic for me.
